Sarah-Jayne Couhault is a photographer living in Bali.

Sarah-Jayne Couhault is a photographer and the creative director of Balibu Photo Collective. Her work spans travel, culture, and street photography.

Her career began unexpectedly in San Francisco, where, while working as a journalist, she was given the opportunity to photograph the very bands she was writing about. What started as a passion quickly became a calling, merging her love of storytelling with a keen eye for imagery.

Determined to deepen her craft, Sarah-Jayne returned to school once her youngest of three children entered elementary. She studied fundamental photography for two years before completing a postgraduate Certificate in Photography at UCLA, one of the most respected programs in the United States.

Based in Bali, she continues to draw inspiration from the island’s vibrant culture and her travels across Asia. She collaborates with local photographers, providing creative direction to realize visual projects and storytelling endeavors.
